About Capt. Jim LaBeske

Capt. Jim is a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed and insured charter boat captain. He is the Upper Peninsula Director of the Michigan Charter Boat Association and an IGFA (International Game Fish Association) Captain.

  • Certified in First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) by the American Red Cross.
  • He also recommends 'CPR' (Catch, Photograph, Release) for select species and sizes of fish.
  • A lifelong resident of the Copper Country on the scenic Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
  • Brings 50+ years of local fishing knowledge, along with professional tournament experience.
  • Maintains a strong Network of shared insights from other local guides and trusted angler friends. That helps to keep us on fish.
